About Us
Alyeska Resort is Alaska’s premier year-round destination featuring the 300-room Hotel Alyeska, a 60-passenger aerial tram and Alaska’s largest ski area. The resort is a playground featuring nature trails for hiking and biking that start right from the hotel. The aerial tram brings visitors up 2,200 feet to take in amazing mountain and ocean views.
Dining and Lodging
Hotel Alyeska is a 5-star hotel offering spa, shopping, and dining accommodations. Ride the aerial tram and dine at the Seven Glaciers or relax with a drink and snack at the Bore Tide Deli. If flying in the tram is not your desire, enjoy the other restaurants and bars in the hotel: Sakura Asian Bistro, or Aurora Bar and Grill. Grab a quick bite to eat or an early morning coffee at the Tramway Cafe. You’ll find everything you need right in the hotel.
At the base of the Bear Quad Ski lift, you will find the famous Sitzmark Bar and Grill. There are live shows during the winter with all the local apres-ski activities. Get there early, because it fills up fast during ski season!

Alyeska Mountain
Alyeska Resort is known as Alaska’s top ski destination, with a reputation for ‘Steep and Deep’, Alyeska has the world’s longest double black diamond run and sees 650 inches of annual snowfall.
With 1,610 skiable acres and 76 named runs, even the skier who has seen it all will be astounded by the terrain and the views.
Alyeska Resort hosts 7 total lifts which take you to a vertical rise of 2,500ft: 2 high-speed detachable quads, 2 fixed quads, 2 magic carpets and a 60-passenger Aerial Tram.

Alyeska’s Bike Park terrain features a variety of downhill trails for all ability levels. Mix it up with a mix of road, single-track and man-made features. Riders can load their bikes onto Bear Cub Quad and Ted’s Express. Trails are open on the weekends during the summer from 12pm-6pm. Check Alyeska’s Website for specific dates.
RULES: Riders must be age 8 or older, and helmets are required for all riders. Head to the bike park today for fun for the entire family!
LESSONS/TICKETS/RENTALS: Lessons, lift tickets and season bike passes are available at the Day lodge Bike Hub. All lessons, tours and instructors are certified by Professional Mountain Biking Instructors. The Day Lodge Bike Hub also rents bikes for your enjoyment!

Take a three to seven-minute scenic ride from the Hotel Alyeska to the top of Mt. Alyeska. At an elevation of 2300 feet, witness frosty views of the Turnagain Arm, up to seven “hanging” glaciers and endless peaks deep into the Chugach Mountain range. The tram operates at a faster speed in the winter to get eager skiers on the slopes.
In the winter, the tram operates at full speed to get eager skiers on the slopes. In the summer, enjoy the natural beauty of the area and to spot wildlife. The tram operates two cars on a counterweight system—as one car goes up the other car comes down.

The Girdwood Valley is filled with beautiful hiking trails and many of them are next to the Hotel Alyeska. Locals and tourists hike the vast Alyeska Trail System during the week to reach the top of Mount Alyeska. Trails are only open Mon-Thursday
A local favorite is the North Face Trail. The Alyeska North Face Trail is 2.5 miles with an elevation gain of 2500 feet. The switchback trail is wide, well-defined with some incredible views of the Girdwood Valley and Turnagain Arm.
Once you reach the top, enjoy the views, hike to the glacier, or have a drink and snack at the Bore Tide Deli and then ride the tram back down. The free-ride down is only available if they have room!
Another local favorite is Lower Winner Creek Trail, where the trail access is right behind the Hotel. This is an easy to moderate hike.

Alyeska Ski Resort is 40 minutes from Anchorage, Alaska in the small town of Girdwood. Take the Seward Highway to Alyeska Highway and follow it to the resort
