Girdwood is surrounded by some amazing neighbors in South Central Alaska. Whittier and Seward are both launching points to the ocean for fishing, wildlife viewing, and cruise ship arrival and departures. Hope is a cute little gold mining town with excellent hiking trails. Don't forget to stop in Cooper Landing, the launching point for the Kenai River. It sports some amazing trout fishing! Kenai is home to the mighty King Salmon and the opportunity to land the big one.
